The Roots — Where We Began

The Foundation of Compassionate Care

For years, Bodywork Solutions has been a trusted space for massage therapy and trauma-informed bodywork in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Rachel built this practice on a simple, powerful belief: every person deserves to feel safe and at home in their body. Through skilled deep-tissue and restorative techniques, she’s helped hundreds of clients release tension, improve mobility, and reconnect with themselves.

The Second Mountain—
Why We're Growing

As Rachel's work deepened, one question kept surfacing: What if healing didn't end at the massage table? What if it reached into how we move, love, lead, and live?

The Second Mountain Project was born from our shared realization that real, sustainable healing requires a space where the body, mind, and nervous system can all be seen, honored, and integrated.

Our Story: Why The Second Mountain Project Exists

There’s a moment many people reach—usually after years of pushing—when something becomes clear: “I can’t keep living like this.” Not just physically, but internally. They’re tired of feeling sore, tight, stressed, wired-but-exhausted, and behind—tired of being told to “just be more disciplined” when they’re already carrying too much.

That turning point—when you stop chasing who you think you should be and start building what’s actually sustainable—is what we mean by The Second Mountain. It isn’t about hype. It’s about coming home.

Over and over, we saw good people doing their best and still feeling stuck—not because they were lazy, but because their system was overloaded. Stress disrupted sleep, pain made movement feel threatening, shame made change feel like punishment, and all-or-nothing plans led to burnout. So they tried harder… and it worked until it didn’t.

That’s why we built The Second Mountain Project as a different kind of wellness space—where strength isn’t punishment, recovery isn’t an afterthought, the nervous system matters, and change is built with dials, not switches. Worth is a given. Capacity is trainable.

The Integration — From Deep Healing to Whole-Person Living

Rachel's years of trauma-informed bodywork revealed that healing doesn't happen in isolation. It thrives at the intersection of the physical, emotional, and relational — where the body's story meets the heart's truth. Meanwhile, Allen's coaching work was evolving through his 6 Pillars of Deep Health and Wellness — a framework uniting the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and environmental dimensions of thriving. Over time, those two paths began to overlap.

Rachel's sessions helped clients reconnect with their bodies. Allen's coaching helped them turn that reconnection into daily resilience — building strength, boundaries, purpose, and legacy. From that shared vision, The Second Mountain Project emerged: a living ecosystem where these pillars of deep health meet the science of the polyvagal-informed nervous system and the art of human connection. This is where massage therapy, strength and movement, nervous-system education, recovery, and coaching come together — not as separate solutions, but as different ways to support capacity, adaptability, and a deeper connection to yourself and the life you’re building.

The Forge — Strength for the Life You’re Building

The Forge is the private training space within The Second Mountain Project in Green Bay, Wisconsin — created for intentional movement, strength training, conditioning, and recovery without the crowds, noise, and distractions of a traditional commercial gym.

But The Forge is about more than working out.

We believe strength is a tool for living. Training should help you stay capable, resilient, and connected to your body — not punish it. That means working with the nervous system, respecting recovery, and building durability for the long game.

The space is available to independent trainers looking for a professional environment for their clients, as well as individuals and travelers who want access to a focused, fully equipped private gym space.

And because recovery is part of training — not something separate from it — Forge guests also have access to the Reset Lounge, our intentionally designed space for nervous-system regulation and restoration.

Our Philosophy — Dials Over Switches

We believe in progress that lasts — not quick fixes, but small, sustainable shifts that build resilience over time. This is the heart of our philosophy: Dials over switches. Presence over performance. Healing over hustle.

Our work is guided by the nervous system — the body's own language of safety and connection. When we tune into it, we can move from survival to creativity, from tension to trust.

Our Mission

To help people heal, regulate, and rediscover wholeness — one dial at a time.

We're building a community where healing and growth coexist; where science meets spirit; where strength and tenderness belong in the same room; and where every person can climb their own Second Mountain — toward purpose, peace, and legacy.

The Second Mountain Today

Bodywork Solutions continues to offer the massage therapy and therapeutic bodywork our clients know and trust, now within the larger home of The Second Mountain Project.

The Second Mountain Project is a growing wellness community in Green Bay, Wisconsin, built around a simple idea: meaningful change happens best when we support the whole person. Our space brings together bodywork, nervous-system education, movement, strength, recovery, coaching, and opportunities for meaningful connection.

Here, you might come in for massage or craniosacral work, move your body through Tai Chi or strength training, experience a sound bath, learn practical ways to work with your nervous system, or simply discover a different approach to health — one that values capacity over pressure and progress over perfection.

The Second Mountain Project is also home to independent practitioners and teachers whose work complements that vision, allowing our community to explore different paths toward greater resilience, connection, and well-being.

And we’re still growing.

New classes, workshops, gatherings, and experiences continue to take shape as we learn what our community needs and discover new ways to help people build lives that feel stronger, steadier, and more sustainable.

You don’t have to arrive with a plan. You don’t have to fix everything at once.

You can simply start where you are.
